Vision Policy

The vision for the two schools is to provide the best quality education for the children of South Sudan, providing them with a platform to become good citizens and future leaders in a variety of fields.

  • Administration
The School Administration will consist of the Board of Governors. The Board shall be the highest body that will direct and approve all activities of the School. Daily activities including the running of the School will be left to the Head Teacher, who shall be assisted by the Curriculum and Administration Officers.
  • Qualification of Headteachers and Teachers
The Head Teacher must hold a Master’s degree preferably in Education from a recognized university. All teachers Must hold Bachelor degrees in Primary Education from recognized Schools of education.
  • Admissions
The School is highly selective, with only the top performing students from other schools offered admission. Once offered admission, students must submit a letter of introduction from either the chief of their area, the pastor or father in charge of their parish/mission and a letter from their primary school headmaster. This is to ensure only disciplined students are admitted to maintaining the standards of the school. Parents of prospective pupils are very welcome to meet with the Head Teacher and visit the school.
  • Curriculum
The Bor School Pabial offers a broad, balanced and creative curriculum, which reflects and values the world around us. We meet the Republic of South Sudan programmes of study by planning and developing our own Bor School Pabial curriculum. This ensures that our learning and teaching is engaging and relevant to the needs and interests of our pupils across all subjects. The introduction of Dinka language is unique to The Bor School Pabial.
  • Scholastic Material
Parents shall also meet the cost of exercise books, pens and other necessary materials for the pupils. However, in light of the current economic situation in South Sudan, parents may face difficulties in meeting these required costs. As such, the School shall invite donors and well-wishers to help the pupils’ parents to meet these costs (where necessary).
  • Examination and Academic Progress
Full written reports will be sent out to parents/guardians towards the end of the academic year. For each subject, there are detailed comments about progress, achievement and effort and also areas for future development. Homework is an integral part of our school programme and, as such, needs to be supported by parents/guardians.
  • Uniform
Each pupil will have 2 pairs of school uniform and 2 pairs of sports uniform. Ideally, parents shall meet the cost of school and sports uniforms. However, in situations whereby parents are unable to meet the cost of uniforms due to economic hardships, the support of donors and well-wishers will be welcomed.
  • Lodging and Accommodation
The Bor School provides a segregated accommodation that’s to say there is a separate accommodation for female and male pupils. Also, accommodations for staff are available in the School.
  • Medical
